SanDisk announces new 256GB sd card that fits faster U3 specs

I clearly recall having to pay greater than $100 for any 1GB Sdcard a long time ago. Now, them are smaller sized, faster, and also have much greater capacities. SanDisk announced an Ultra-series 256GB card at CES this season, however the new Extreme card is even faster with support for that A1 U3 standard.

The brand new SanDisk Extreme 256GB card will support random read input-output access per second (IOPS) of just one,500 and write IOPS of 500. The transfer speed maxes out at 100MB per second, slightly quicker than the A1 UHS-I cards it announced at CES this season (i.e. not U3). SanDisk is pushing this card as an easy method to make use of adoptable storage on Android devices, but it is also plenty fast for recording 4K video and dealing along with other large files.

The brand new cards is going to be available beginning in march by having an MSRP of $199.99. They’ll most likely sell near to that not less than a couple of days, then I am sure we’ll begin to see sales.
